CubeBESS takes safety extremely seriously. We develop and manufacture BESS with cautious to make sure the BESS compliant with every possible regulated safety standard throughout every phase of the production from system design, safety testing, manufacturing process, remote monitoring, maintenance to training.

CELL SELECTION

EXPLOSION-PROOF / NO LEAKAGE LFP CELL

  • FIRE DETECTION

Three smoke and temperature sensors will detect and send the fire signal to fire system controller.

  • GAS DETECTION

Hydrogen sensors will activate warning lights and alarms, and emergency ventilation system when gas is detected.

  • PRESSURE SIGNALS FEEDBACK TO THE CONTROLLER

activating warning lights and alarm bells, signaling the ongoing fire extinguishing operation to prevent injury.

SYSTEM LEVEL SAFETY DESIGN

COMPLY WITH CLAUSE 4.4.3.2

NFPA 855

The AC and DC hatches are separate and isolated, as are the battery strings

The fire zone is separated from the structure design to reduce the fire risk.

The container is constructed

with 1.6mm Corten steel plates with a 50mm thick layer of rock wool insulation, providing both thermal insulation and flame resistance. The floor is made of 4.0mm checkered steel plates, ensuring non-flammability.

Comply with Clause 4.9, NFPA 855

Exhaust Ventilation by Design, to limit the maximum concentration of flammable gas.

When smoke or abnormal temperature increase due to fire occur

one of three smoke and temperature transmitters will detect and send the fire signal to fire system controller.

The fire controller confirms fire signals

activating audible and visual alarms to prompt evacuation, shutting down air conditioner, exhaust fan, and etc. Following a preset delay, the FFS releases extinguishing gas.

Pressure signals feedback to the controller

activating warning lights and alarm bells, signaling the ongoing fire extinguishing operation to prevent injury.

ADVANCED CONTROLLING LOGIC TO ENSURE ULTIMATE SAFETY

SAFETY DESIGN

GPC integrates the equipment information of each sub component and reports it to EMS

DESIGN PRINCIPLE

The information is normalized to EMS Software through GPC, and BESS is managed uniformly to protect system operation

CONTROL LOGIC

Local GPC controller communicates with BMS, PCS, air conditioning (HVAC), fireprotection (FFS), etc, and quickly disconnects when detecting abnormal battery so as to stop PCS in the corresponding battery unit(string)
